• I think Smile for Me is the “slowest” book, according to some of my readers who told me they were waiting for something exciting to happen in that novel LOL. But the setting is an idyllic island in the sun where life is slower and people are not in a hurry. In the middle of that easy summer, I placed a super conservative campus in which the staff aren’t allowed to date one another and lo and behold, two teachers fall in love (but of course).
• For a bit of suspense drama, turn to the next novel in the box, Reach for Me, where there’s the triple amputee hero trying to protect the prodigal girl who is not as weak as she seems. I wrote this novel through the grief of losing my father, so it was a difficult time of writing but it was therapeutic. And God is always good no matter what.
• The third novel in the box, Wait for Me, has a lot of scenes from my two family trips to Alaska. I explored the idea of what would happen if someone has to keep some international secrets from her spouse and that trust problem destroys their marriage. What do you think will happen to them now that they have to take their 5YO son on a supposedly happy Alaskan family cruise?
