Some of my books are set in a church setting with a pastor, e.g. Savannah Sweethearts has a church on a riverboat and the stories revolve around the churchgoers seeking God’s will in their everyday work and personal lives.
On the other hand, Seaside Chapel showcases musicians who play classical instruments and hymns. They also attend church at Seaside Chapel.
I do have some anchor churches in my other books so that if the characters need some spiritual guidance they have a pastor or Christian friends to ask. I mention scripture a lot in a number of my books, but I do that to show what my characters are going through and their struggles in life and how they turn to God and so forth. Each of us have our own experience in life with God.
