Interestingly, today is also National Eddie Day. A little known fact about author me is that when I was a kid, my nickname was Eddie. It’s derived from my middle name, Edttii, which my mother coined out of Edith and Eddie. Only my parents and brothers called me Eddie. However, today only my mom calls me Eddie, even though she doesn’t speak anymore due to her health condition. My dad always called me Eddie until he passed away six years ago.
