Looking Back at 2021 (Isaiah 25:1)

“O Lord, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name; for Thou hast done wonderful things; Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth” (Isaiah 25:1, KJV).

One of my author friends asked us how we fared in 2021, and this was my response:

In 2021, I am still behind by 6 months due to moving and sicknesses (I need T-shirts that say, “I survived COVID Delta” and “I survived 10 hours of driving with a cat” and “I survived packing up 32 years of stuff and moving 550 miles to another state.” In years past, when I was behind, I would start the next year later. I’m not going to do that this year bc I have 4 back-to-back book deadlines between now and July 2022.

Great success learning about God this year. Among the many things I’ve learned is more of an affirmation to work within the skillset He has given me. For example, I spent a lot of time this year looking for ways to be efficient and productive in all areas of my life so that I can have more time to write. Ironically, it took me all year to figure it out LOL. I am happy to report that my “read the Bible in one year” is progressing well, and at this rate, I will be done in 5 years.
