“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).
God has given Hallee Poe Bridgeman incredible strength for such a time as this. Recently, she lost her 14YO Christian son suddenly when he was hit by a truck while walking home from the store. And yet God gives her grace to press on. Indeed, God’s steadfast love and mercy are endless.
In another real story recently, a missionary pastor’s 18YO Christian son was in the yard when a vehicle careened off the street, drove onto the yard, hit him, and he passed away. The college kid had just written a warm letter to his father about following in his pastoral footsteps to answer the call of God to preach just a few months prior.
And yet God’s compassion and mercies are new every morning. Great is God’s faithfulness. We weep, but not as those without hope. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He lives.
