CHRISTIANS IN LOVE
DAY 4: BILLIONAIRE IN LOVE

When you think of billionaires, what comes to mind?

Several things come to my mind. God sends rain and sun on everyone, regardless of their lot in life. Ultimately, we are all equal at the foot of the cross. God is to whom we all must give an account on how we live our lives, whether poor or rich or in between.

In the fiction world, do you like to read novels with billionaires in them? Why or why not?

Do you prefer beach bums or billionaires or neither? I haven’t written about beach bums yet but I have written about paupers living in beach towns. There are more billionaires in my Seaside Chapel series than in any of my other series, but Wait for Me (Vacation Sweethearts Book 3) is all these combined: not-your-usual billionaire romance novel + romantic women’s fiction + second chance after divorce + side of suspense in Alaska and Northern Africa.

Considering all the billionaire novels out there, I decided to put a twist on this sub-genre. My billionaires all have missions in life, they seek the Lord, they serve others and are very charitable, they have family issues that only God can solve, and their not-billionaire friends don’t treat them differently. I try to show that in a church, there are people from all walks of life, but at the foot of the cross, we are all sinners saved by God’s grace and we all need Jesus. What do you think about that?

I mentioned Wait for Me, my romantic women’s fiction with suspense. Comment on anything about today’s topic for a chance to be entered into a random drawing to get a free copy of the Wait for Me (Vacation Sweethearts Book 3) ebook. To get a preview of this novel, go to JanThompson.com/wait-amazon. This novel is also in Kindle Unlimited.

Having said all that, I do write about ordinary people most of the time. I don’t talk about money in my book unless it’s necessary for the story to move forward.

Do you like realistic fiction or do you prefer to escape?
