I have tried to study Mandarin Chinese in various ways almost all my life. Whether with live teachers using textbooks or via on-demand video lessons or online apps, none has worked for me until I started using Duolingo. At first, I felt like a little kid in kindergarten with the child-friendly display app. But then as I made progress, it all made sense.
I still can’t read this sentence from the Bible, but I am getting there.
因为罪的代价就是死亡，而上帝借着主基督耶稣赐下的礼物则是永生。罗马书 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
