In Between Books:
Once Bitten, Twice Shy is a married life Christian romantic suspense novel in between Tell You Soon (Savannah Sweethearts Book 3) and Once a Thief (Protector Sweethearts Book 1). The epilogue of Once Bitten, Twice Shy leads straight into Chapter One of Once a Thief.
In Tell You Soon, Ming and Sabine fell in love and married each other. In Once Bitten, Twice Shy, they now have two kids but their marriage is on the rocks. Somewhat separated, Ming works overseas while Sabine stays in Savannah to help Mom investigate Dad’s death. If you recall, in Tell You Soon, Sabine mentioned that her father died mysteriously some thirteen years ago, and the case is unsolved.
In Sabine’s sister’s story, Once a Thief, Helen and her mom (aka Mama Hu) commiserated about missing Dad. Well, in between those two books, we have Once Bitten, Twice Shy, in which we find out what happened to Edgar Hu, the founder of Hu Knows, Inc., investigative firm based in Savannah, Georgia, with worldwide clients.

For those of you who have read and enjoyed Tell You Soon, don’t worry. Once Bitten, Twice Shy has a happy ending. Ming and Sabine will resume their family life after the drama is over. I want you to know this spoiler alert so that you don’t get upset if you love the story of Ming and Sabine in Tell You Soon and hate to see any marital issues. You know that I write realistic fiction, so conflicts are par for the course, but there’s a happy ending, especially a happy-in-the-Lord ending. Always.
